空では，ただいわし達が侘しげに，儚げに，いじらしく泳いでいる．
それにしても，なんと虚しげな夕暮れなのだろう．
この空は，遥か彼の国まで繋がっているというのに．
1984年，それは，彼の国の人が今の地位に就く10年も前の話．
この年に "Goodbye Cruel World" というアルバムをリリースした Elvis Costello は，その中で "I Wanna Be Loved" と叫んだ．
今は断絶と絶望のはざまで揺れるこの世界で，丸まって震えるているしかないのか．
"Goodbye Cruel World" と言える日が，この世界に訪れる日がいつか来るのか．
空で戯れる，自由なるいわし達よ．
彼の国に行って伝えてくれないか．
今ならまだ間に合うと．
"I Wanna Be Loved" と想う気持ちがほんの砂粒程度でも残っているのなら，まだ間に合うと．
